Dior Homme Intense EDP opens with lavender, sharp and slightly powdery, before settling into a heart of iris, ambrette seed, and pear. Created by François Demachy, this is an intensified reworking of the original 2005 Dior Homme, built on the same lavender-iris backbone but pushed darker and denser. The base of Virginia cedar and vetiver keeps it dry and woody, with almost none of the sweetness found in most modern men's fragrances.

  • Top Note: Lavender
  • Heart Notes: Iris, Ambrette Seed, Pear
  • Base Notes: Virginia Cedar, Vetiver
  • Sharp lavender opening that settles into a distinctive powdery iris heart
  • Dry, woody cedar and vetiver base with real depth
  • 8+ hours of longevity on skin, longer on fabric
  • A true intensification of the original Dior Homme, not a flanker with a gimmick
  • Moderate sillage, noticeable without overwhelming a room

Men who find most modern "fresh" or sweet gourmand fragrances too simple. The iris note reads slightly powdery-cosmetic in the first ten minutes before drying down into something drier and more grounded, this rewards a bit of patience rather than delivering an instant, obvious scent.

Best suited to cooler months and air-conditioned indoor settings, since the powdery iris can feel heavier in humid heat. Strong choice for the office, formal occasions, and evening wear in autumn or winter. If you want something louder for nights out, Dior Sauvage or Sauvage Elixir sit in a more aggressive, fresher lane.

Is Dior Homme Intense the same as regular Dior Homme?
No. It shares the lavender-iris core but is reworked at a higher concentration with a darker, woodier base. Regular Dior Homme is lighter and more powdery overall.

How long does Dior Homme Intense last?
Around 8 hours or more on skin depending on skin chemistry, longer on fabric.

Is Dior Homme Intense good for summer?
It works better in cooler weather or air-conditioned settings. The iris and powdery notes can feel heavier in humid heat.

Dior Homme Intense vs Dior Sauvage, which should I choose?
Homme Intense is quieter, woodier, and more office-appropriate. Sauvage is fresher, sharper, and louder, better suited to going out.
